Tailored Solutions has been running since 2001 and was set up by financial advisers. I have been with the company for 2 years. The company is able to offer the full range of financial advice, I am a mortgage adviser and just advise on mortgages and the associated protection. However, I am able to refer clients to suitably qualified colleagues if advice in other areas is required.
Staff:
There are two company directors who run the company and then a number of support staff. There are some employed IFAs and mortgage advisers, as well as a number of self employed IFAs and mortgage advisers (such as myself). We have a wealth of knowledge within the company so can help with any situation.
Areas of Business (Products / Services):
We advise on mortgages both residential and buy to lets, as well as new builds, renovation mortgages etc. We work on a whole of market basis so are not tied to any lenders. We also advise on life cover, critical illness protection, income protection on an independent basis. Buildings and contents can also be arranged for the client, though we tend to use one provider for this. We can also instruct a solicitor for the client. We complete the applications with clients from start to finish so guide through the process, obtain appropriate documentation, chase lenders, solicitors etc.
Fees:
We charge a broker fee of £249 for arranging and processing a standard mortgage (residential purchase or re-mortgage, no adverse credit history) or £349 for a non-standard mortgage (buy to let, right to buy, shared ownership, adverse credit, self cert). These fees are charged on mortgages below £250k, anything above this we would not charge a fee. Our broker fee is due on issue of the formal mortgage offer and is not refundable.
We do not charge an initial consultation fee. IFAs can work on a full fee, fee offsetting basis, or entirely commission. This is discussed and agreed with client at initial consultation.

Memberships / Accreditations:
We are directly authorised by the FSA. All advisers have the appropriate financial qualifications and a number of advisers have Advanced Financial Planning qualification.
