Lawyer - Solicitor
Year Established:
1994
Company:
Chhokar & Co was founded by our Senior Partner Mr Santokh Singh Chhokar in September 1994.
Right from the outset our firm's raison d’etre has been the delivery of the highest quality legal services with standards of client care which even other law firms talk about.
Over the years we have developed experience and expertise in a number of specialist areas, including:
Civil Litigation
Company & Commercial
Family & Matrimonial
Immigration & Nationality
Indian Law Consultancy
Landlord & Tenant
NRI Legal Services
Property (Residential & Commercial)
Trust, Wills & Probate
Many of our clients are from the local Asian Community. Some clients are people who visit Southall for social, domestic or business purposes. In addition, we are also instructed by clients from many other parts of the United Kingdom.
Apart from clients in the United Kingdom, we regularly deal with cases for clients based abroad, including the USA, Canada, the EU countries, UAE, India, Pakistan and Australia.
As a consequence, we are able to offer our clients everywhere a highly personalized yet totally professional service when dealing with their affairs.
We currently have associates in a number of countries abroad to assist us in providing our services and will continue to expand our global reach.
The one feature which virtually all our clients share is that they have been referred to Chhokar & Co by existing clients and are happy to refer new clients to us. It is this simple fact that inspires us ever to seek to excel and further improve our service.
Chhokar & Co was founded by Santokh Chhokar in 1994. in partnership with Mr G H Raisinghaney, who has since retired from the Firm.
The Firm started from modest two room offices located on part of the Second Floor of the building in which the Firm is still located.
By the Grace of the Almighty and the efforts and determination of Santokh Chhokar and his team of lawyers and support staff, the Firm's work load increased rapidly. As a result the Firm steadily grew in size until, in 1998, it occupied the whole of the Second Floor of the building.
When, in 2002, the opportunity arose for the Firm to re-locate onto the First Floor of the building, Santokh Chhokar decided that this would not only provide easier accessibility for the Firm's clients, but also allow the Firm to have custom built offices, built around the Firm's needs and mode of working. In consequence, the Second Floor was designed to include state of the art climate control, CCTV system, duct cabling etc. The Firm also installed a brand new Dell Computers network system.
Leading edge technology has always been a particular strength of the Firm, and in 2005 Chhokar & Co became one of the very first law firms to acquire the Osprey.TM Practice Management System. This is an entirely web-based application which, amongst other features, enables Chhokar & Co lawyers operate a virtual office and to access (and work with) the Firm's entire records from anywhere in the world.
