A small civil and structural engineering practice, established in 1978, dedicated to giving a high quality, forward thinking, client orientated service. Operating mainly in the East Midlands we are prepared to carry out work in any part of the United Kingdom, including the Channel Islands. We service clients from all walks of life, including householders, estate agents, loss adjusters, local authorities, architects, and solicitors.

Principal is James McLean, who is a Fellow of the Institution of Structural Engineers and a Member of both the Institutions of Civil Engineers, and Highways and Transportation.

We carry out structural inspections and reports on any type of property. We also carry out design, drawing, specification, preparation of contract documents and site supervision for all forms of projects, including housing, industrial, commercial, leisure, education, health, refurbishment, conversion and repairs, for buildings dating from the seventeenth century to those built in the early part of this century. Projects can consist of anything as small as a simple lintel, up to multi-million prestige buildings.

Fees vary, but are generally based on an hourly fee, plus expenses, plus VAT. Fees are discussed with the client before any project is undertaken.
