We cannot be good for landlords if we're not good for tenants and therefore we do not put up unnecessary barriers which stop good prospective tenants coming to us. We don't charge high fees to tenants which will cause them to look elsewhere.

To become a member of ARLA, a letting agency must prove that it performs to a very high standard, has qualified staff and holds all client money according to ARLA best practice. Some building societies can insist that landlords purchasing property through them must use an ARLA member as their letting agency.
ARLA is seen as the benchmark in residential letting and is often consulted on legislation issues with the government.
