Having been established in Havant for 30 years the company offers legal advice and services to its clients in all areas of general practice including Personal Injury, Marine Law, Wills and Probate, Divorce and Family matters. We also specialise in providing legal services to small and medium sized businesses.

As well as our other areas of practice our Conveyancing Department offer residential conveyancing services to both the private buyer and developers across the whole range of the housing market.

Our Commercial Department provides advice and services to business clients buying selling or leasing commercial property.

The Conveyancing team is headed by Ruth Downie, a director of the company, assisted by Janine-Raine Cooper and Shirley Mylum who are both Fellows of the Institute of Legal Executives.

Ruth deals with Commercial Property and is assisted by Nick Southwell, a solicitor.

The Company has 4 directors, 8 solicitors and a total (including them) of 30 staff.

As set out above the Company offers a full range of legal services in all the main areas of legal practice. The main departments are Wills, Trusts and Probate (including Inheritance Tax Planning), Personal Injury (including Clinical Negligence), Residential and Commercial conveyancing, Marine Law, Business and Commercial services and Matrimonial and Family Law.

We have particular expertise in two niche areas - Marine Law and Abuse Claims, details of which can be found on our website.

Our client base varies dependent upon the type of work. For the niche areas the client base is extremely wide and includes clients throughout the UK and overseas.

Our fees for private clients are time based and the hourly rate varies depending on the grade of fee-earner from a maximum of £235 per hour to a minimum of £100.

We offer fixed fee interviews in some areas of work at £50 for 30 minutes and we are always of course happy to provide an estimate of our charges following an assessment of the matter.

Residential Conveyancing is charged on a fixed cost basis starting at £350 but rising depending upon the purchase or sale price.

We have a contact with the Legal Services Commission which enables us to offer preliminary advice and some representation with the support of Public Funding (Legal Aid) in some areas of work, principally Matrimonial and Family.

We operate the No Win No Fee arrangement where available - mainly for Personal Injury cases.
