Chimney Swept Clean covers the Pendle and Craven areas being situated on the borders close to Barnoldswick and Earby.
All wood and multi-fuel burners should have the chimney swept approx every 12 months. A clean chimney is a safe chimney.
We sweep all types of flues from the traditional using the time honoured rod and brush set. To the more modern flexible flue liner or even twinwall chimneys using the continuous cable viper chimney cleaning system.
All sweeps are completed with a smoke test and are issued with a certificate recording the outcome. This is instructed by the Institute of Chimney Sweeps and their working practice, of which I am a registered member.
We offer the complete service from a sweep to fitting wood and multi-fuel stoves with back boilers for heating and hot water.
Now that the burning season has come to an end we would advise customers to keep up with maintenance on the chimney whilst not in use.
For example: pointing, chimney stack maintenance, pots/cowels and removal of old TV aerials.
We only fit flue liners that are Hetas approved
Bird nests, squirrel dreys and any other unwelcome animals are removed and released as humanly as possible.
Seasoned wood should only be used which will prolong the life of your flue or flue Liner and reduce the damage caused by damp or wet wood which leave harmful deposits.
All height work is carried out safely using tower scaffold. Appropriate ladders are used whilst working on a chimney stack and Fall Arrest Equipment is worn. All tools are fastened and secured to a safety line around the stack to prevent the risk of accidents.
When sweeping I operate on my own but when fitting stoves and wood burners there would be 2.
