Fairbairn Smith & Co. (incorporating Avery Son & Fairbairn and Alfred Slater & Co.) has been providing legal advice to businesses and individuals since the 1850s.

We are a small practice offering a personalised service through individual caseworkers.

Developments in I.T. enable us to cater for both local and non-local clients and we pride ourselves on having acted for generations of families.

Our Client Care letter will set out clearly the estimated cost of your proposed matter.

Residential Conveyancing fees range from £595 plus vat (£119.00), plus standard disbursements which we will be happy to explain (searches, Land Registry fees, Stamp Duty Land Tax).

Commercial Conveyancing fees are costed according the work carried out at an hourly rate of £200.00. Matrimonial advice and a complete summary of options for a consultation fee from £160 plus vat (£32.00).
